Replaced mass air flow assembly, with new air filter, checked for vacuum leaks, ( none) when I clear code car runs without engine light on, once car is shutt off and restarted engine light appears p0100. Any ideas? Mike

The reason it acts that way is because it is a 2 trip code. Apparently the sensor itself was not the problem and it needs to be troubleshooted further. Could be wiring, PCM or a mechanical air flow issue in the engine.
