Replaced both the intake and exhaust VVT solenoids, code went away for 5 days but its back. Check engine lights on, what else could cause this?

Hi,

Engine oil condition has a major impact on the camshaft actuator system as well as oil pressure. Also, a low oil level condition may set this DTC as well.

Is the engine oil clean and full? Also, what is interesting is that the new parts fixed the issue for five days. Have you checked electrical connectors to make sure things are tight and in good condition?

Let me know. Also, I attached the diagnostics below for the code you have. Note that the code is specific to the exhaust cam and not the intake.

Take a look through the diagnostics and let me know if you are comfortable performing them.

Take care,

Joe
