P 1728 Trouble code

The light will come on and give that code, but the tranny isn't slipping the light is intermittent it comes and off when it wants sometimes it goes off by is self other time it won't go off for months. The tranny was rebuilt 10,000 miles ago. This is driving my husband Crazy.
1996 Ford F255 7.3 diesel we just don't know about the TC light.

Code p1728 means the trans mission IS slipping, have a trans guy check this as it may be the oil pump is starting to fail especially if it stalls in reverse and or manual low. There is a filter kit tha shold be installed in cooler line to help with this problem.
