Hi. My right front outer tie-rod broke off of my car on Friday. It was still attached to the inner tie-rod but completely off of the wheel. My dad knows how to fix it but we have run into a problem. He has gotten the nut loose to remove it, but for some reason the tie-rod will not screw off. Is there something he is doing wrong or is there a way he can get it unscrewed?? Any help is greatly appreciated...

It's just corroded on and will have to be forced. Using a couple of pipe wrenches should work.

An Oxyacetylene torch will help if you got the out tie rod end red hot but it's just mostly brute force.
