we went over a pothole, the following day whilst driving along the dirt rd all of a sudden we lost power. we could move into gear, however the engine didn't go into gear, so we could not drive the car. the mechanic that towed it and had a look told us it was the right cv joint. is this possible, because what has the cv joint got to do with the gears. we initially thought it had something to do with the selector?
