Van was stolen and when I got it back, the ignition was broken, and it won't drive forward. Reverse is still strong.

I suspect there is damage to the shift linkage if the ignition was damaged so we need to inspect this cable and adjust it or replace it as needed.

If reverse is fine then that tells us that the pressure is ok and the transmission is able to function but it is just not putting pressure in the correct location to move forward so we need to make sure the shift cable is adjusted properly.

Below is the process to adjust and replace it if needed. Let us know what you find. Thanks

I have the same symptom, 2000 Astro. What did you find? I replaced the whole solenoid harness and more. No change. Looking for the IGN O fuse. Can't find it. Checked the TRAN fuse--okay.

When you shift it into gear does the shift selector light up in "D"? If not, the gear range sensor has gone bad. Check out the images (below). Please let us know how it goes.
