My van won't start. When you turn the key the lights and everything comes on but it does nothing. Sometimes it clicks. We tried to jump it but- nothing. I have a fairly new battery in it. What could it be?

Welcome to the forum, have you tried cranking in neutral? How do interior lites react with the key in the crank position? If they just stay bright, sounds like an open circuit to the starter. If the lites go out, you need to make sure the battery has a full charge and the connections are ok. If that checks out, my next thought is the starter itself. How did you try to jump the starter?
