Power window & door lock problem

I have a 95 Cutlas Ciera, All the power windows and door locks work, except the drivers door, I replace the window motor & clean the window regulator. The motor was NG but it didn't solve my problem. I put a hot and a ground directly to the 2 terminals at the window motor, the motor turns and when I reverse the connections the motor turns the opposite direction (which it is suppose to do) but when I hook up the regular harness I get nothing, It's not the buttons cause I put a test light to one terminal and pressed the button & the light lit and the same at the other terminal of the switch, pressing the button for the reverse direction. Now these wires fron the button (switch) go thru the door and into the passenger compartment somewhere in the dash. I have the same problem with the power door lock on the drivers door also, I put a hot wire directly to the power door lok actuator and it seems to work, but not when I hook up the regular harness. I'm stumped, I did find what I believe is what they call the automatic down module under the dash, this module lets the window go all the way down without holding the buton. I put a test light to it and when I connect the light to one terminal and press the button & let it go the test light stays on for 20 seconds (the time it would take the window to go all the way down) so this seems ok, could this unit still malfunction, cause there are five other terminals on this module. One other question is if I had a relay problem wouldn't it affect all the power windows? Any suggestions?
