Brakes

I just did the front brakes on a 1991 olds 98 and the front wheel is knocking brakes work good the sound stops when I accelerate or brake What could it be?

Was it there before you replaced the front brakes-if not backtrack you did something wrong.

Sounds like the caliper piston is not retracting causing the pads to rub against the rotor. Or try spraying it with high temperature brake lubricant.

A play between the calipers and the mounts, missing or badly corroded shims, and/or missing, bent or broken anti-rattle clips and springs can all contribute to a noise problem. So too can rough or improperly refinished rotors and hard pads.
