Here is the firing order for both engines:

Firing Order 1-2-3-4-5-6

Firing Order 1-3-4-2

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Cheers

I need to get the firing order for my 1999 Intrigue, 3.5 L V6 engine. I have only removed the spark plugs from the front coil and the hoses fell to the ground. Now my car hesitates and jerks so I do not think I have them in correctly.

3.5L F/O.

Note: make sure all your connections on the plug wires are tight.

It is not quite that simple perhaps this will help as the firing order changes depending on the set up.

If you have a 3.1L 1994 and older with the coil packs under the front exhaust manifold. Front cylinders are 2-4-6, back cylinders are 1-3-5. Coil packs left to right are 1-4-6-3-2-5. If you have a 3.1L 1995 and newer with the coil packs on top of the engine. Front cylinders are 2-4-6, back cylinders are 1-3-5. Coil packs left to right are 5-2-3-6-4-1
