Hey Bob & Ken, I am buying a 1994 Olds Cutlass however it needs new brake lines. The man selling it has told me it needs new brake lines. Now I heard there was a recall on these models for the brake lines. I would like to know how to fix the brake lines. Also, is this usually the only thing that needs to be replaced or would this just lead to replacing more parts.
ps. If you can help me I will be sure to make a donation!

Hi jesse

i'm joel, an auto technician! I can give you my idea regarding your topic about replacing brake lines! In the car. As we know brake system in all cars have to types of brake lines used, one is brake pads that usually used in the front brake system of the cars and the brakes shoe that usually used at the rear brake system of the cars. Thats the brake system the car you are going to buy. Replacing brake lines in the car depending on its brake lines condition. If the brake lines is really warn out and need to be replace, you must do it so. Coz we dont want the brake lines steel plate that holding the brake line touch you rotor disc plate and create more problems with the brake system it self. It is also same procedure when you want to service you rear brake lines if the brake lines are in bad condtion. (Sample>>> warn out brake lines SHOE) this is the brake lines mostlly used with the same year model

again! Two types of brake lines are used the brake system
1. Brake pads, used in the front brake system
and you have a disc rotor plates

2. Brake shoe, used in the rear brake system
and you have a brake drums where the brake shoe lines is in place at the rear brakes of your car.
