1992 Oldsmobile egr valve

I was wondering if you can help? I have a 1992 olds bravada, we can get in it and drive it and it runs better cold than warm, spitting and stuttering. It also backfires bad. We can give it gas and it seems to just bogg it down until it catches up with itself or it seems like! We have already repplaced cap, rotor, and ignition module. Do you think it is the egr valve, andif so where is it located. Thank You!!!

Usually if the egr valve is bad, or any other sensor/valve, the check engine light will come on. This valve is located somewhere around your intake. It will have an exaust hose or pipe leading to it from the exaust manifold--hentz the name Exaust Gas Recirculater valve.
Your problem sounds like a blocked fuel filter, blocked air filter, or a blocked catalic converter. If none of the above, i'm afraid it may be a sticking exaust valve. Keep me posted
