I have 1994 olds royale 88 it will start up and run from 1 to 100 miles before the dashboard lights flicker, the engine backfires and hiccups and looses power until it just dies. If I let it sit overnight, it will start back up like nothing was ever wrong with it until I drive it for anywhere between 1 and 100 miles and it will fail again. When it dies I can crank it over and it will barely start and no matter how much gas I give it it won't rev up, it will just spit and sputter and then die.

Does that sound like the ignition module? Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

problems like these are better taken to a pro so he can diagnose it properly. YOu may have just a bad ground or connection. But it could also be what you think it is. But it is better for a pr to look at this as he will have it right there when it screws up and havehisequiptment hooked up to it hopefully
