1988 Oldsmobile Delta 88 6 cyl

My car recently would not start, I have misplaced the manual and am wondering how do I pull the engine codes? The problem with the car is it would start then immediatly die, after keeping at it I finally got it started and got it home, but am wondering if this will be a reoccuring problem. I have a feeling it is either a fuel problem or a problem with the MAF but want to make sure. Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Thomas

Welcome to the forum, is the check engine light on?

To get codes, you place a jumper wire between the A & B terminals, turn key to on position, till the dash lites come on, no further. The check engine light goes to flashing, you count the flashes to get the codes.
