Why does my car always over heat? I replaced the thermostat. But it still does. Like I will drive then when I stop somewhere and it wont start. I have to wait for the car to cool down before it will start. It usually takes about an hour to an hour and a half. The temperature always rises fast. What else can I do to prevent this? What else could it be?

Does it go past the H on the temp guage or stay within the normal?

Next time it wont start check for spark, if you have weak or orange or no spark, suspect bad plugs, wires, or ignition coil.

If thats good could be fuel related.

Get back to me.

On the 3.1 engines its normal for it to heat up in the city. I went to mechanics and dealerships asking the same Questions. Its just the size of the engine and they say its cuz of the size of the engine and how much oil and fluid it takes. I wouldnt worry about its normal

The vehicle should never heat up.

Also I have a 5.7l v8 and it never goes past the middle of the hot range, no matter what.

It may run a bit hotter in the city, but as long as it stays in the normal range.
