Starting on the 4th of this month, when I went out to start the car it would not turn over. I hooked up charger and it didn't take very long at all to start. I thought at the time that I had left the light switch(the part that lowers and raises light in the car) as I have dont that before. This has happened three more times this week, taking longer to charge each time, but still not a long time. This morning I was going to vet and again it would not turn over. I put the charger on it but this time it wouldn't charge. I've had the charger on about 45 minutes and I still get a slow grind then nothing. The clock continues to be on time, so I'm not sure about electrical. I just purchased a battery within the year. Could it be the starter or alternator? Thanks.

Check battery and alternator as shown by clicking on the provided links, let us know what you find. If battery is continually charged and discharged it may now be ruined, chak cables at both ends, clean and tighten mating surfaces.
