i have a 90 oldsmobile cutlass with real low mileage. i drove the car to the store and it was fine nuthing happened. once i got bak into my car and i started it, it started fine. once i started going onto the street the car all of a sudden dies on me while driving.so i pull over and i try to start it back up but it wouldnt start back up. i tried and i tried. all the engine would do is turn on for a split second and die down!. the way i got to the car running was. as soon as i turned the key over i started to pump the gas and it stayed on while the rpms were high and i kicked it in drive and went on my way. 2 mins later the car dies down again. so i pull over and try the same thing but the car wouldnt start anymore. just keep acting like it was gonna stay on but it just kept turning right off. i though it could have been my battery or my alernator but i removed them and got them tested and they were both in good condition. so it wasnt those parts. i also tried the port hole from the fuel rail thing. i turn the key over and i would go bak and hit that port hole and gas will squeeze out.. i already checked my fuses... WHAT ELSE CAN IT BE? I NEED HELP. ITS MY ONLY CAR RIGHT NOW AND I HAVE A NEWBORN THAT NEEDS TO BE GETTING TO HIS PEDITRICIAN. NEED SERIOUS HELP.
THANK YOU.

Hello, you need a gage to check fuel pressure. What you saw may have been the initial prime? Check for codes. How long since a tune-up?

Have a helper crank it, while you check for spark at the plugs and injector pulse. If you have neither one, I'd look for an rpm signal.
