I have a 89 cutlass supreme 2.8L and I am having a problem. I replaced EGR. Oxygen sensor, Idle Air Control, Rotor, Plugs, Wires, fuel pressure Regulator, Fuel injectors, Fuel Filter, Ecm, and more. I passed smog but the car would surge when cold until warm or until I push on pedal hard. The check engine light comes on during this time but the OB1 doesn't show any codes. Now the car only starts when cold and shuts down when warm. Will not restart for at least 2-4 Hrs. check pressure at fuel rail it was 42psi. Fuel filter is not clogged. Please tell me where to look next.

You have a list of items that you replaced. However, to me is sounds like a bad ignition module. Have you replaced that? Also, has the check engine light come on?

Have you checked fuel pump pressure or spark when it doesn't start.

Possibly could be the TCC located withing the valve body. If you disconnect the electrical plug that leads to the valve body to the right of the engine and then go for a spin and it doesn't stall that is your problem.
