Have a 95 Oldsmobile last week it quit running like u shut the key off. Start checking all the fuse and relays everything checked good/Found a fuse link wire broke down by the starter that runs to the relay. Replaced it started right up ran fine drove the car for a week went to start it today same think fuel pump won`t run. Check wire ok all fuse ok check that wire that we replaced it was fine. Also had new GM fuel pump put in about 7 month ago. These car bad about wire rubbing or grounding out somewhere?

Did you try using the fuel pump test connector, to see if pump would run? It should be under the hood, passenger front, close to relay pack. Red wire with electrical connector, nothing plugged into it, if you use a jumper wire with inline fuse from battery voltage to connector, the pump should run, you don't need to use the key. If the pump still won't run, I'd have to check the circuit at the fuel pump connector at the rear of vehicle. Gray wire is voltage for the fuel pump motor, black is ground. I don't know that it is common for the gray wire to break, somewhere? I have also seen the oil pressure fuel cut off switch go bad or the wires come off of it. Here is the location so you can check it out in the image below

Thanks for the reply I dont like throw parts either. Well check it out. Like I said last week it quit fuel pump won`t run till I found the fuse wire on the starter broke inside that feeds 12V to the fuel pump relay so I replaced the oil pressure switch like you said and it fired right up! Thank you ;)
