1995 Oldsmobile Ciera Repair Question

1995 Oldsmobile Ciera blinkers
Electrical problem
1995 Oldsmobile Ciera 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 158000 miles
blinkers not working unless manually blinked. Checked bulb & fuse w/no luck. I took the plastic cover off the column & noticed nothing obvious. Can anyone help??? Im very poor & cant afford to pay for an answer. Thank you soooo much.

Check the turn signal flasher if okay test the turn/hazard switch
