1993 Oldsmobile Ciera wont crank the starter when key is tu

Sorry but I can not donate currently.
i was just wondering why my car wont start the battery is around 12.45 volts and so is the wires to the starter solenoid. I tried puting it in neutral and starting it still nothing. Any help would be appreicated thanks

No crank at all/nothing/nada when key is engage to starting position

Could be a blown fusible link, the starter, starter relay, clutch switch/park and neutral switch/transmission position switch and ignition switch assuming the battery and connections are good. Note:If it doesn't apply disregard.

How do you short the the solenoid to crank the starter

Use a screwdriver and short out the battery terminal to the little one that has the purple wire on the starter motor.

Shorted the solenoid but only cranked slightly but not any were close to start the car and now wont crank at all does that mean its the starter or a blew a fuse thanks in advance

When you did that and the starter buzzed-sounds like the starter motor overrunning clutch is slipping.

Start crank the first time for only a second and never cranked after that and if it the start it seems like it imposible to remove to many things in the way is there instructions or diagrams on how to do it thanks
