1989 Oldsmobile Ciera 53 code car smokes black

The car most times will start and run perfectly and some tilmes it wont start and service engine light comes on and will have a 53 code on if you hold accelerator to floor it will start and smokes black. Thanks for any help.

Check the fuel pressure if its within specs and also test the coolant temperature sensor. Also the injectors and fuel pressure regulator if its leaking
