Electrical problem
1996 Oldsmobile Bravada 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic 180K miles

Sometimes my headlights will turn themselves off. I do NOT have auto lights so I know its not the interior switch. This happens with my high and low beams. When I'm driving at night, sometimes my headlights just shut off and my day time lamps come on. Even moving the switch from the on. To off. To on postition doesn't do anything. One shop found nothing and another wanted $300 to trace the wiring. Any thoughts.

Your vehicle has a DRL (daytime running lights) module that controls headlights and DRL's. Itis located behind the glove box, has an 8 pin connector. When thelights dont work, test for power at the yellow wire with a test light. Ifit has it, the module may be bad, that is signal from light switch to turn on headlights
