drove my car to work without problem. When I got off from work and attempted to start the engine, there was nothing. The engine would not turn over.

Hi:
If the starter isn't working, you need to check if it's getting power. Have a helper turn the key to the start position while you check for 12 volts at the smaller wire on the starter. If there is power, have the starter bench tested at a parts store to make sure it's bad and replace if needed.

Let me know what you find.
