1995 Oldsmobile Aurora Just wont start

1995 Oldsmobile Aurora Automatic 139000 miles

I was driving down the street and the car all of a sudden lost power. It turned off on me and wouldnt turn back on. It would crank but wouldnt turn over. I knew I had a bad battery so I replaced both that and the alternator. Now, it wont even crank at all. When I put the key in the ignition and try to turn it on, NOTHING happens. No sound. No clicking. No nothing. The digital screen keeps saying clean key-wait 3 minutes or something. I wait and try again and nothing happens. What may be the problem?

Try cleaning the chip on the key with alcohol. I am having the same trouble. My lights and everything else work, but the starter won't turn over. Any advise from your expeiriences?
