2001 Oldsmobile Alero 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 2001 Oldsmobile Alero that ran out of gas. I put gas in it and now it won't start. Is there a process I have to follow to get it started after running out of gas? It has power, the lights and radio and all that work it's just not turning over what do I do? Is there some kind of switch or something? If so where is it? Thank You!

Hi:
No switch or special process. Chances are you sucked up dirt from the bottom of the tank and clogged the fuel filter. Start with that. If it doesn't help, check for fuel pump pressure. Many parts stores will lend or rent the gauge, and here is a video on how to do it.

Let me know what you find.
