Engine Cooling problem
2000 Oldsmobile Alero 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

2000 Alero 3.4 had it in the shop it was gurgeling thru the radiator the mechanics checked for air in the system, replaced thermostat, didn't fix. Next step was pulling the heads, they were warped, had heads machined, when put back together seemed ok, now over heating again?

overheating caused the heads to warp. are the cooling fan(s) coming on properly? can you feel coolant flow being pushed through by feeling radiator hoses?

I think it may be a collapsed radiator hose, could that be the issue causing restriction and no flow making it over heat?

OK, the bottom hose was collapsed, now I have replaced both the top and bottom radiator hoses and I am still getting a small gurgling out of the over flow? What am I missing here?

did you purge cooling system of air after repacing hoses? the radiator cap may be bad also, not sealing good will cause gurgling.

The cap and thermostat have been replaced, I don't know what else to check that would make it stop over heating
