My 2000 oldsmobile alero cranks but won't start. Earlier today about 1 pm, it drove fine with no problems. At 3:30 pm, I went to start the car and it turned on but had a hard time. As I accelerated, the car sounded like it wanted to die, but when I put the car in park, it was fine. What is wrong with this car? Now it won't start at all.

It sounds like you have a battery or alternator problem. You should get your car "jumped" to start it and take it to a local auto parts store to have them test your battery and alternator (for free). If you can't "jump" the battery then it is probably your alternator needing replaced.
