just purchased used 1999 Alero, transmisision leak, however can't find dip stick location.

You may not have one! Some of the GM's have just a red plug, you will need a lift, or a way to raise it enough to get under and check the fluid, book says remove plug, fluid should be leve with the bottom of the hole...
