Oldsmobile Achieva Stalls Problem
1996 Oldsmobile Achieva 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 106000 miles
Car will not start unless I apply starter fluid to the throttle body. It will re start on it's own for a few hours after it has been initially started. It idles improperly, revving itself up by 100 to 500 rpm. It stalls during acceleration from a complete stop, which can be countered by a VERY slow acceleration. This usually occurs after the car has warmed up. It will usually re start after a stall, but will only run for a few minutes before it stalls again, sometimes it stalls while at speed.

Has the fuel pressure been checked? Has the check engine light come on?
