Hello. I parked my 1985 Oldsmobile in an outdoor lot overnight. The next day I noticed that the hood ornament had been removed. This required clipping a metal wire. I believe it was done in order to open the hood and steal parts. I do not think they were successful. My questions are: Can the hood be opened using this method? What would most likely have been stolen? Thank you.

Actually, there is no way they could have gotten the hood open through there. Is it still running okay?
