Electrical problem
1998 Oldsmobile 88 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Car won't always start. Battery is good. Is there a brake safety switch/sensor that could interfere with starting the car, and if so, where is it located? Can hear a slight click when stepping on brake before trying to start car.

The click is from the brake light switch on the top of the brake pedal. Has the check engine light come on? When it doesn't start, have you had a chance to see if it is getting spark and fuel to the engine?

Let me know.

Took car to the dealer for repair. Said it was a problem with the key, ignition switch/security system. Changed ignition switch and key. No problems since. Thank you for your reply.
