1992 Oldsmobile 88 stalls out going uphill or when gas pede

1992 Oldsmobile 88 6 cyl Automatic

My oldsmobile 88 runs and starts just fine on flat ground but if I'm going uphill no it seems like the more I try to give it gas the harder it spudders out. Could it be the fuel pump?
