I have had trouble getting the car to start in some instances, typically in the morning. It tries to turn over so we figured it was the fuel pump. We change the fuel pump and the problem persists. We change a magnet (have no idea which one), checked the spark plugs, and replaced a sensor.

Im beginning to think its a wire grounding out somewhere. When im driving down the road going about 55, the check engine light goes on and the car dies. (Going 55 mph) If I give the car gas when this occurs, the engine revs almost like its in neutral.

Please help

Check for applicable mil codes. Use a gage and check fuel pressure. Some of the national brand autostores used to loan out a fuel pressure gage. When the problem occurs, have a helper crank it, while you visually check for spark at the plugs, that would also be a good time to check fuel pressure.
