Turns over but sounds like starter kicks out too soon. Started having to turn key on and off 3 times then would start but backfiring if I gave it gas. Now won't start at all.

Turning the key on and off is normally due to a fuel pump not supplying proper pressure. However, the backfiring normally only happens if it is out of time. So let's run through this test and see what we turn up.

Another thing we can do that is easy is using starter fluid to see if the engine starts. If it does then we know we need to chase a fuel issue.

Let me know what you find and we can go from there.
