Transmission not shifting right

So, I was driving down the highway and all the sudden my speedometer went out and it started high revving then would slam into next gear.

Hello,

Since the speedometer stopped working, the issue is likely the vehicle speed sensor (VSS).
The VSS is located on rear of the transmission on the driver side (see diagram below).

Make sure that the connector is secured and does not have any corrosion.
If everything is secured and clean but you still have the issue, then it is probably a bad sensor.
