I got this car from my mom who passed away in 2017. It sat for bout 2 years because of timing chain but I finally got around to fixing it. Well, I noticed the ride and steering was crazy. I pull the wheels off and there is no sway bar, or brackets, bushings or links. I am not crazy. I don't even know how this is possible.

Are you talking about the links? See below.

If that is the case, I wonder if someone took them off because they needed them for another vehicle? Was this able to be used for parts? If not, I guess someone could have stolen them as they are accessible on the ground. If they did, they must have been pretty desperate because they are not that expensive.

Either way, we need to install new ones. Let me know if you have questions. Thanks

No, i'm talking about the bar that stretches from driver to passenger side. And the links and the bushings and the brackets, nothing. None of that is there.

Holy cow. Yeah that is troubling. Here is the process for the sway bar. Again, that clearly needs to be replaced as well.

And what's even more troubling is I pulled the car fax report and the last service done was at a dealership and it says steering and suspension serviced.

Oh man. That does not sound good. Clearly because it has been so long there isn't anything you can really do but I can't imagine a dealer that could return a vehicle without that on. Plus removing it is not part of servicing it so I am not sure how that would happen. You don't like to think the worst but clearly there is something missing in this progression.
