Auto parts store said no solenoid for starter so ordered starter. Starter came in and information sheet said to replace 2 relays. Relays came in today but I can't find the relays at all. I am dealing with a Auto Value store in a small town in nebraska.
The starter I have will sometimes work and sometimes not. If I try the key when it doesn't work, maybe two or maybe ten times and the starter will work. Gives me fits. Charlie

Inspect/test/swap the clutch interlock relay and clutch position switch see below-this 2 checks out your problem is coming from the ignition switch.

Have an appointment with the nissan dealer in Norfolk, Nebraska on monday. I couldn't figure out how to unplug the relays. I see that the 4 relays are the same and I figured out I could switch a couple of them but could not figure out how to unplug them without breaking them. Charlie

Thanks for the help. Don't have a credit card so have to use snail mail to give a contribution. Would like to send $20 for the assistance of this board. Have another question about fixing a loose mechanism under the air bag on the steering wheel that keeps sounding the horn so removed the fuse for the horn. Email address is chaskuchar@msn. Com and I will get a contribution sent your way. Thanks, charlie

Finally got the clutch inhibit relay but that didn't fix the problem so took the truck in to them. They checked it out and the starter was bad. So truck is on the road again and the dealership was reasonable on their charges for repair and reimbursed me for the clutch inhibit relay to boot. Thanks for the help here. Charlie
