My parking break is old and does not hold the truck on my driveway (which is on an incline). If I put my truck in first gear and set the parking bread to max, my truck will stay on the driveway without rolling backward. My question is: Will I harm my transmission if I use first gear to help hold the truck on the driveway?
Thank you for any info you can give me

no it will not in any way harm your transmission. its recommended to leave it in gear while stopped, reverse is preferred due to its a lower gear if the front is pointed down.
