Hi, My truck is a 4 cyl with 8 spark plugs. I think it is callled a z24? I replaced the electric fuel pump because I thought that was the problem. It will start and run fine for a while (30 minutes) then it just stops. I have taken it my mechanic many times over the years but he is baffled. He suggested getting a carburator from a junk yard. What do you think is making it kill all of a sudden?

You may have a heat source that is too close to the fuel line causing vapor lock. If you can find such a problem, fabricating a heat shield may fix the problem. Does this happen all year round?
