My 2003 Nissan Sentra’s (63000 mileage) “Check Engine” light was ON. I took it to Nissan dealer and they diagnosed it to be a Head Gasket problem. They charged me $1300 and besides replacing the head gaskets, also replaced the drive belts and the transmission fluid. Somebody told me that once you get the head gasket problem, it will keep occurring again and therefore I should sell the car ASAP and buy a different one.

I’m not at all familiar with the car mechanics. Can somebody advise me what to do i.E. Do the head gasket problem keeps occurring once it happens?

Thanks in advance!

Totally untrue as far as I'm concerned. Drive your car and enjoy it.
Fot the sake of agruement, you had to replace your headgasket every year (which is ridiculous to begin with) that means it costs you about $110.00 / month. Say you double that for other repairs, that $220.00/month. What is a car payment? $400/month?

If they test it properly and the H/gasket was the actual problem-it shouldn't happen again. And also find the cause why the gasket is blown

Unless they missed a warped head and a crack block.
