Battery and Brake Light Come On At the Same Time

I just put a new battery in my 1993 Nissan Sentra XE and now the battery and brake light are staying on. Does anyone know what the problem is? Alternator? Is it safe to drive? Thanks

Your alternator is not charging the battery or the battery is not taking the charge. Have both load tested.

Check for loose connections alternator/battery. I don't recommend it-you don't know when its gonna quit-could be in the freeway or heavy traffic stop.
