I had a friend install a new CD player in my car and now I dont have any tail lights. All of the rest work IE brake & hazard lights & turn signals. What could be the problem and how do I fix it? Thank you.

Your friend needs to recheck what they did. First thing to do is check the fuse. If good, then see where the wires were tied in when the unit was replaced and check for anything miswired or disconnected.

IF nothing obvious then need to start checking power and ground on that circuit. IF you need a diagram, I may be able to get you one.

Hi babygirl1,

At the radio wire socket there is a wire for illuminating and most probably it is grounded due to improper insulation while installing the CD player.
