So my car has been the unfortunate victim of multiple hit-and-runs. I thought all the damage was superficial, but for the past couple of months, my car has been rumbling (I notice it most in the steering wheel) whenever I accelerate above 55 m/h. It gets worse the faster I go. I'm thinking maybe my wheels were thrown out of alignment, or maybe one of the axles is slightly bent? Any thoughts?

Thanks so much.

Greg,

I would reccommend that you check the alignment of the car and balance, because if your car is way out of balance you would feel it in the steering column,if it is not that then i would advise to look at the axles to see if they are bent. But it seems that if the steering column is shaking too much and you had a recent balance and alignment of the wheels I would have a mechanic look over the steering column itself as well.
