1998 Nissan Sentra car will not start

Was driving car stopped running will not start back up. Can hear fuel pump run. Spark plug wires and plugs change. Distributor checked not wet are cracked. Wiring good

What could be wrong

I am not too clear with your description. Are you saying that the engine cranks but not starting/catching, or it doesn't even try to crank. If it cranks but not catching, did it even try to catch?

You said distributor checked not cracked, did you check the inside rotor, making sure the tip of the rotor is not worn out?
