My steering wheel shakes when the car is in motion. When do you know you hava a tie rod ends problem or a balancing and alignment problem? Thanks

It is very hard to see visually if there is a balance problem, you can rotate the tyres by hand and look for run out, Tie rod ends are checked by feeling for excessive slack in the ball socket, all these things can be check quickly by your mechanic or wheel aligner, best you go get a balance and steering inspection to be safe.
