I've had to replace the distributor four (4) times within the last six months. Using new units not rebuilt.
The car will be running fine, no missing, just as smooth as possible, then it is just like the key is turned off. Nothing else is wrong with the car, just will not fire, turns over great. Put a new distributor in and it will start the first time.
Please help, I've been to several dealers, no one can tell me anything, in fact they say they have never had a problem with the distributors on the sentra's.

Hi there,

Before any diagnosis of the problem can be done, it would be handy to know if each distributor failed in the same manner and what actually failed. Can you find this out?

HI there,

I will study the ignition circuit to see if there is a practical reason for this to occur, other moderators have pick up on this question and may also be able to shed some light on this for you. The problem is you often need to be hands on with testing circuits to nut these out, I will contact you when I come up with something one way or the other.
