im trying to replace my clutch in my car and i am disconnecting the trans axles from the transmission and i cant seem to get them to disconnect from the transmission how do i go about doing this

Hello,

I take it you are talking about the CV Axles...

They are difficult to get out. They have a spring clip that hols them in place inside the tranny. You can use a pry bar and pop them out it may take a few tries to do or you can purchase a specialized tool to removed them. Check out tool store link below.

If choose to use pry bar you will need to place pry bar on raised area of CV Axle and have a fulcrum to use to quickly snap the axle. And as I said it may take a few time to get it to pop out. Having someone pull a little on the axle will help.
