1993 Nissan Sentra Starter/solenoid

Car would not start, I tightened cable from battery at the solenoid, car started several times. After I waited about an hour I tried to start the vehicle and It would not start once again. No solenoid response at all. Battery check is good, and solenoid and starter appear to function properly. What else is there that I can do?

Which engine 1.6L or 2.0L? The starting circuit configuration is different

The engine is a 1.6 Liter.
