1988 Nissan Sentra

trouble get spark to my plugs after replacing a head gasket. Not sure why this would be an issue after not ever having an issue with spark before head gasket problem.

I'm sure you already have, but re-check your wiring. Do you have plus voltage to the coil? Any blown fuses or pinched wires? Please advise.

I do have voltage at the coil and I've check and rechecked the wiring. No blown fuses either.

With 12 volts to the plus side of the coil, either the coil is bad or the trigger in the distributor. Try grounding the - negative side of the coil with quick swipes and see if you get a spark.
